Cut-It-Out Communications Contributes PR and Marketing Column to Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals

Hartsdale, NY, Apr. 7, ’11 — Cut-It-Out Communications, Inc. (www.cioediting.com), a full-service public relations agency specializing in the incorporation of online activities in traditional campaigns, today announced it is contributing a monthly PR and Marketing column to the Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals. The column provides advice, mostly related to SEO (search engine optimization) and social websites, for PR practitioners exploring new media.

Topics already addressed include, “PR for SEO,” “Putting Video into Your PR Practice” and “Don’t Underestimate the Power of a Blog.” The column is scheduled to run through the end of the year.

Willy Gissen, President of Cut-It-Out Communications, said, “This column represents a tremendous opportunity for our firm. The Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals are probably the most respected publications in the region, and I am honored to share my knowledge of the online arena with colleagues in the industry.”

Last year, Mr. Gissen was certified in advanced search engine marketing by the Search Engine Academy, and he focuses primarily on improving clients’ Google rankings through the creation of quality content. He also sets up and maintains corporate blogs and e-newsletters as well as incorporating many elements of traditional public relations such as press releases and bylined articles for national trade journals and local business publications.

The Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals, founded nearly 50 years ago, has a circulation of more than 100,000.

Caryn McBride, Executive Editor of the Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals, concluded, “Many of our readers are looking to ease their companies into the online world, and this column provides step-by-step advice to help them do so. Willy Gissen’s direct and clear writing style is perfect for that task, and his focus on public relations firms, based on his many years of experience there, is easily transferred to almost any organization.”
