How to Add Blog Headlines to Your Company’s Web Site

Transcript

This tutorial will show you how to create a box with your blog headlines and put in on the home page of your website so it will automatically update each time you add an entry to your blog. The first thing you need to do is to transfer your blog’s RSS feed to Google’s feedburner. Go to www.feedburner.com, register if necessary, and then scroll down on the main page to where it says “Burn a feed right this instant.” Type your current blog’s RSS feed into the box like this.

Give a title to your feed and create a customized address. Then click next.

Scroll down and click next to go to step 2.

Do not enter anything into the new screen and click next again.

Click the publicize tab.

In the left navigation bar under services, click BuzzBoost.

This screen will determine how your headline box will appear. Change the number of items from 3 to 5 and unclick the item that says “display item content.” This will ensure that only the headlines will appear. Then click “activate.”

Copy the html code provided into your home page. When you do that, it will look like this.

That’s it. By using Google’s feedburner and the function BuzzBoost you can create a box with a list of your blog headlines and insert it on any web page.

When you do so, you will see a box asking what size you want your video to be. Click on the pull down menu and select the size recommended for YouTube.

Finally, click on the second icon next to “record the screen” just below the top navigation bar. Select the item “Share on YouTube.” You will see a sign-in screen for YouTube, and after you have signed into your account, you can add a title and description for the video, and then click finish.

As you can see, the computer is rendering the video, and after it is done, you will be notified that your new video is on YouTube.
